Georgia Recognizes Aventure Aviation as an International Trade Leader

Aventure Aviation was recognized as an international trade leader for the US State of Georgia at the 2017 Go Global reception, held in Atlanta on March 14.

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), presented businesses in various fields with GLOBE (Georgia Launching Opportunities By Exporting) Awards at the reception. READ MORE >  

Aventure Defeats Panasonic in Cricket Match

The Aventure Aviation Flyers defeated the Panasonic Panthers 137–87 in a friendly cricket rematch two years in the making, held at Riley Field in Peachtree City.

Aventure’s team was rewarded for their dedication to regular practice over the previous month. But the real reward was the good-natured competition and comraderie experienced by both teams, their coworkers, and families. READ MORE >  

Aventure Volunteers at Midwest Food Bank

Aventure Aviation prepares food at Midwest Food Bank in Peachtree City, GA, USA

Over a dozen Aventure team members volunteered at the Midwest Food Bank’s Georgia division in Peachtree City on March 20. Together they organized and sorted 14 large pallets of food items.

Established in 2011, the Georgia division distributes over 30,000 cases of food each month, serving over 290 nonprofit organizations from 44 different counties in four states. READ MORE >  

Aventure Awards Three Aviation Scholarships

Aventure Aviation has awarded scholarships to three aircraft maintenance technicians enrolled in an accredited and recognized aviation educational institution.

The three scholarships were administered through the Northrop Rice Foundation with one scholarship reserved for an international student studying in USA on student visa. This year’s winners are Lyndon A. Thomas, Anthony Lamothe, and William C. Cartrette. READ MORE >

this month in aviation history

The first successful flight around the world starts on April 6, 1924 when four U.S. Army Air Corps Douglas Cruiser biplanes took off from Seattle. Two complete the circumnavigation flying 27,553 miles in 175 days. The successful pilots are Lt. Lowell H. Smith and Lt. Erik Nelson.
