Aventure Acquires CRJ/ERJ Inventory
Aventure Aviation has acquired over 13,000 CRJ/ERJ expendable and rotable spare parts from Express Jet Airlines. This comes as a result of a successful four year consignment program supporting Expressjet Airlines with materials management, warehousing and AOG support.

"This acquisition is a great opportunity to cement our position as one of the industry's foremost regional aircraft experts," said Melissa Coleman-Grina, Aventure's Senior Director of Business Development. "This will further expand our current capabilities in supporting Bombardier and Embraer airlines across the world."

Lunar New Year Celebrated at Aventure
Aventure Aviation celebrates the Year of the RoosterAventure celebrated the Year of the Rooster, the Lunar New Year holiday observed in many Asian countries, such as mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and the special administrative region of Hong Kong.

Aventure hosted a celebratory luncheon on January 26 at their Atlanta headquarters, with a menu featuring Chinese cuisine. The office was colorfully decorated with red and gold, which are traditional colors representing good luck in several Asian countries. The team learned about the different ways the Lunar New Year is celebrated in various Asian countries.

"Aventure is a multi-cultural company that is fortunate to do business with all types of people from all over the world," said Wei Sun, Aventure Aviation's Account Executive for China. "We celebrate the Lunar New Year to share happiness with our friends in the Far East."

Aventure Receives Minority Certification
Aventure Aviation – USPAACC
Aventure Aviation has received a minority certification from the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC). Founded in 1984, the Chamber pledges to be a single unified voice for equal opportunity for Asian American businesses and to collaborate with businesses for mutually beneficial growth in the US domestic and global economy.

USPAACC's certification is designed to increase business opportunities for its members. Since 1989, USPAACC has leveraged its strong ties and relationships to successfully match their supplier members to opportunities with prime contractors and US Federal agencies.

Aventure Mentors at AMEX Conference
Aventure Aviation – City of AtlantaZaheer Faruqi, President of Aventure Aviation, mentored companies at a government contracting conference sponsored by American Express, held January 31 at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta.

The conference, titled "American Express OPEN for Government Contracting: Success Series for Local Small Businesses" was designed to educate small business owners on the benefits of selling to the government.

Aventure Offers AMT Scholarships

Aventure Aviation will once again sponsor three scholarships for Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) students through the Northrop Rice Foundation. They will support one international student under a US student visa program and two students enrolled in FAA certified Part 147 schools. The financial awards can be applied towards tuition fees, books, or tools. Winners will be announced at the Aviation Technician Education Council conference in Seattle on April 1–3, 2017.

Last year's scholarship recipients were Bonny Kibuuka (from Kenya) of the School of Missionary Aviation Technology, Wyatt Girton of Northland Community and Technical College) and Brian Maestri of North Idaho College.

Aventure Partners with Public Schools

Aventure Aviation will partner for the 2nd year with Georgia's Fayette County Public Schools in their work-based learning and youth apprenticeship program. The partnership lets high school students gain valuable work experience by interning with Aventure, giving them a competitive advantage needed for college acceptance and/or entrance into the workforce.
