March 2018 – The Newsletter of Aventure Aviation 757 Teardown Complete – Parts Ready to Ship Aventure Aviation's Boeing 757 during teardown in Tuscon, Arizona. Aventure Aviation has completed harvesting the parts of a Boeing 757 aquired in November 2017. The aircraft, registration N533UA (MSN 25073), was last operated by United Airlines. Approximately 2,000 removed spare parts are now located in Atlanta. High demand parts have been refurbished and fresh tagged, while others are awaiting MRO shop selection or are in "as removed" condition. Parts Offered for Impending 737NG Teardown Aventure Aviation has started to sell parts from a retired Boeing 737NG. The teardown has been scheduled to start this month. The landing gear shipset has significant time remaining before overhaul, which may interest customers contemplating retiring portfolio aircraft with this requirement. Also available is the auxiliary power unit, thrust reversers, engine cowls, and all installed parts. REQUEST PARTS LIST > Aviation Scholarships Offered by Aventure For 2018, Aventure Aviation will continue its tradition of awarding three scholarships to students pursuing their education in an aircraft maintenance technician program in a USA school meeting FAA standards. Scholarships are awarded through the Northrop Rice Foundation (NRF), a non-profit educational organization based out of Houston, Texas. One is reserved for an international student studying on an F-1 student visa. Recipients will be announced at the Aviation Technician Education Council (ATEC) Annual Conference held March 17-20 in Washington, DC. The reception will showcase Georgia′s international economic development efforts and attendees will be able to network with Georgia’s international representatives from around the world. Aventure to Speak at SpeedNews Conference The President of Aventure Aviation, Zaheer Faruqi, will be one of the featured speakers at the SpeedNews 32nd Annual Commercial Aviation Suppliers Conference on March 14. The topic is "EXIM Bank: A Win-Win Solution for Suppliers and Our Economy." The conference will be held March 12-14 in Beverly Hills, California. It will provide equipment manufacturers, material suppliers, aviation industry analysts, financial institutions, and marketing executives with important updates about the commercial aviation industry. Maria Brodzik has served as Controller of Aventure Aviation since 2010 and oversees accounting operations. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s in Accounting. She has over 20 years experience in the accounting profession and has worked in the aviation industry for 10 years. Maria’s most interesting place to travel to was St. Lucia and she dreams of traveling to Hawaii. She is married with two sons, one in college and one in high school. Her favorite quote is, "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
