Aventure Judges 2018 Export Challenge
Aventure Aviation was a panel judge of the 2018 Atlanta Metro Export Challenge, a JPMorgan Chase and UPS-powered grant program created to support the exporting programs of metro Atlanta companies. The final round of judging took place on March 28. Talha Faruqi, Aventure′s VP of Operations, represented Aventure to help determine the winner in this "Shark Tank"-style pitch competition. "As the 2017 winner of the Metro Export Challenge, I can appreciate the difficulty of standing in front of a host of people, with $20,000 on the line and only minutes to pitch the vision for your company," stated Mr. Faruqi. "The tenacity of all the competitors to make their case was a reflection on how Metro Atlanta ranks among the top US metros for export," he added. Aventure Active at SOAR Conference
Aventure Aviation participated in the 2018 Supplier Opportunities and Resources (SOAR) Conference for Aerospace and Defense on March 7 at the Middle Georgia State University Conference Center in Macon, Georgia. The conference is a collaboration between the Center of Innovation for Aerospace and the Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership, designed to connect participants with the best resources to grow their business. Aventure representatives Lyly Cao and Rachel Ibarra participated in "Fast Pitch" sessions and networked with suppliers. Aventure also served on a "Company Perspective" panel and discussed how they have grown and expanded into new international markets. Aventure on Panel at MRO Africa Conference
Senior Vice President Amyr Qureshi represented Aventure at the MRO Africa Conference & Exhibition on March 18–20 in Cairo, Egypt. The event was organized by African Aviation Services Ltd. and hosted by Egypt Air. Mr. Qureshi served on an African airlines technical directors panel, where he highlighted issues and challenges faced by the African carriers in maintaining their fleet reliability. GLOBE Award Presented to Aventure Aventure was a recipient of the Georgia Launching Opportunities by Exporting (GLOBE) award on March 20 at the Atlanta History Center. The annual award recognizes companies exporting into new countries during the previous year. Aventure′s Director of Sales Hamzah Faruqi received the award from Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, who cited Aventure′s international exports to a packed room of exporters, business and community members. Aventure has received every year since 2013. "It was an honor meeting the Governor and being part of such a great event.
