Aventure Aviation hosted a private VIP reception the evening of April 10 at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium during MRO Americas 2019. The stadium is a five minute walk from the Georgia World Congress Center, site of MRO. Over 100 people were treated to 16-story panoramic glass views of the Atlanta skyline and tours of the stadium, with private access to the playing field, locker rooms, sky bridges, and the 100 Yard Club. Guests enjoyed gourmet food and hors d'oeuvres by the award-winning Levy Restaurant. Several organizations attending were honored by Aventure for their outstanding work. Community service awards went to the Northrop Rice Foundation and Midwest Food Bank, while an excellence award was presented to the Georgia Department of Economic Development Center of Innovation. Other recognitions included an outstanding customer award. "Please pass along my thanks to the staff for a first-class event," said Will Garner, Executive Director of Midwest Foodbank. MRO Americas 2019 took place in Aventure's hometown of Atlanta, April 9–11 at the Georgia World Congress Center. The annual event focuses on the commercial air transport maintenance, repair and overhaul industry. Over 15,000 attendees representing 91 countries were present, including 886 exhibitors and over 1,200 airline representatives. The show is produced by Aviation Week, a leading aviation/aerospace industry publishing and event production company. "We found it imperative to participate not only as an attendee but also as an exhibitor because of how important MRO Americas is for our business and customers," said Talha Faruqi, Aventure's VP of Operations. "Being in our hometown, this gave us a great opportunity to showcase our company and southern hospitality." The show returned to Atlanta after being held in Orlando, Dallas, Miami, and Phoenix. Proud of their hometown, Aventure gave away Atlanta-related items at its booth, including discounts to local restaurants. Beijing-Based Manager Joins Aventure
Liu (Jason) Guibin has joined Aventure Aviation as its customer support manager for China. Based in Beijing, he will give Aventure the ability to provide faster and more personalized customer support. Mr. Liu has over 20 years of experience working with MROs, airlines, and parts suppliers. He has extensive experience resolving problems faced by Chinese aviation companies. He will be supported by Wei Sun, Aventure's account executive for China, based in their Atlanta headquarters. "Aventure has been doing business in China for the last five years selling Airbus and Boeing parts, and we've seen our business grow exponentially," said Ms. Wei. "We saw a need to have a local presence to further support and expand our customer base." Mr. Liu has a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and an Associate degree of Aircraft Spares Administration from Civil Aviation University of China.
Onur Kavas is the Regional Director for Turkey. Based in Aventure's Istanbul office, he is responsible for handling various functions for his region, including sales and marketing. He has been with Aventure the past eight years, serving as Regional Director since 2016. He graduated from Marmara University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, and also holds a Master's in Business Administration and a Master's in Advertising. When asked what he loves about working at Aventure he said "It's always dynamic and there are lots of opportunities." When not at work, Onur enjoys playing sports and volunteering with local youth basketball teams. His favorite Turkish football team is Beiktas. |
