The annual conference started four years ago with the objective of enhancing the lives of small business owners by dedicating a day to new ideas, reflection, collaboration, and fun. Attending Aventure staff found it an extremely positive experience. "Lessons learned from featured topics will help strengthen our company," said Controller Maria Brodzik. "These include leadership, marketing, entrepreneurship, and work-life balance."

"Aventure believes in continuing education," said Hamzah Faruqi, Director of Sales. "The event featured many innovative ideas and the tools to implement them."

Canadian Snowbirds Roar Above Aventure HQ

Aventure Aviation | Canadian Snowbirds

The skies above Aventure's Atlanta headquarters were full of the sights and sounds of a world-class military aerobatics display. The Royal Canadian Air Force 43 Air Demonstration Squadron, commonly known as the Snowbirds, performed their aerobatics and flight demonstration May 22 at the Atlanta Regional Airport (Falcon Field), about a mile from Aventure's headquarters. Staff were treated to the show from work, while several team members went to Falcon Field for an even closer look.

The Snowbirds serve as ambassadors of the Canadian Armed Forces and have been performing since WWII. Their purpose is to "demonstrate the skill, professionalism, and teamwork of Canadian Forces personnel."

this month in aviation history

June 26, 1909 – The first commercial sale of an airplane in the United States is made when Glenn H. Curtiss sells one of his planes to the Aeronautic Society of New York for $7,500. This action spurs the Wright brothers to begin a patent suit to prevent him from selling airplanes without a license.

Quote of the month

The airplane became the first World Wide Web, bringing people, languages, ideas, and values together.
