September 2019 – The Newsletter of Aventure Aviation Aventure Military Team to Attend F-16 Event Aventure Aviation will attend the 2019 F-16 and Proven Aircraft Technical Coordination Group (TCG) World Wide Review (WWR), taking place September 9–12 at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center in Ogden, Utah. The WWR is the capstone service provided by the TCG each year, allowing all member countries of F-16 aircraft operators to gather in one location to discuss common issues and meet with qualified vendors, USG engineers, equipment specialists and program managers. Aventure's military sales team are looking forward to networking with their current customers as well as prospective customers. Football Pool Back for 2019–2020 Season Aventure Aviation has announced a football pool for the 2019–2020 season, in response to the success of its inaugural "Football Pick'em Challenge" last year. This annual event is open to customers, prospected customers, neighbors and friends. Weekly prizes will be awarded, with larger prizes awarded to participants with the top three overall scores. Relationships Forged by Aventure at ACPC Aventure Aviation participated in the 63rd annual Air Carriers Purchasing Conference (ACPC), which took place August 10–13, 2019 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. Attending on behalf of Aventure was Melissa Coleman-Grina, Senior Director of Sales, and Talha Faruqi, Vice President. "The organizers did a great job putting together the event," said Melissa. "We enjoyed seeing some of our existing customers and forging relationships with new ones, and we are excited about doing business with them." Aventure has attended the conference every year since its founding in 2001. ACPC is a key industry networking meeting between airline purchasing and supplier company representatives, providing both a business and social agenda. Hasam Anwar interned at Aventure Aviation between May and August of 2017, where he was exposed to numerous aspects of the aviation business. He was also given the opportunity to travel to Arizona, where he observed the teardown of an Aventure-owned Boeing 757. His real-world experience with Aventure helped him secure a position as a certification engineering intern with Collins Aerospace, where he works on testing loads for interior aircraft structural panels. Hasam is also an aerospace engineering student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, on track to graduate in May 2021. After graduation, he plans to work in prototyping or R&D to find new and innovative ideas for the aerospace industry. In his free time, he enjoys working out, sketching ideas, tinkering with projects, and being involved with school clubs. Aventure Aviation is proud of its intern program, and delighted to see former interns build on this experience to pursue success in the industry. |
