Aventure Aviation has acquired for teardown a Boeing 777-2H6 (MSN 28417) airframe from Delta Airlines. It is being dismantled in Teruel, Spain by Tarmac Aerosave. All harvested parts will be inspected on-site, and shipped to Aventure's main facilities in Peachtree City, Georgia, USA, located near Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

"Once refurbished and recertified, the harvested parts will be available to end users on an exchange as well as outright basis," said Amyr Qureshi, Aventure's Senior Vice President, while overseeing the dismantling.

"This purchase is a continuation of our strategy to support our Boeing customers, notably freighter and international airlines," said Aventure Aviation Vice President, Talha Faruqi. "The Boeing 777 has become the most successful wide-body aircraft, and we look forward to supporting our customers for many years to come," he added.

Aventure is also considering the acquisition of several other Boeing and regional aircraft, focusing on end-of-life aircraft for dismantling purposes.

Aventure Aviation will attend the C-130 Hercules Operators Conference (HOC) on October 14-17 at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Hosted by Lockheed Martin, this year's event will also include the P-3 International Operators Support Conference (IOSC) for a combined experience.

This event offers access to over 80 industry exhibitors, aircraft briefings, social events, and networking opportunities to share operational, technical, modification and maintenance insights among C-130 and P-3 owners/operators, service centers and suppliers.

Aventure has participated at HOC since 2011, and welcomes it back to Atlanta. "Our team will be available to enhance existing relationships, and discuss future opportunities," said Lyly Cao, Aventure's Government Sales Manager. "We look forward to working with current and new suppliers and welcome the opportunity to listen to their concerns and needs."

Money raised will benefit the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. The United Way is a nonprofit that works with almost 1,200 local offices throughout the U.S. in a coalition of charitable organizations. Piedmont is an American regional airline operating for American Eagle (formerly US Airways Express).

October, 2019 – This month marks the 100-year anniversary of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands granting the "royal" title to a small, pioneering airline soon to be founded. Quote of the month

The engine is the heart of an airplane,
