December 2020 – The Newsletter of Aventure Aviation Fourth Boeing 757-200 Acquired for 2020 Aventure Aviation has acquired a Boeing 757-200 for teardown, its fourth for 2020. The airframe, MSN 28112, is currently stored at eCube in Wales, UK. The aircraft, last operated by Air Astana, is currently equipped with a half-life auxiliary power unit, landing gear with 7+ years remaining green time, and RB211 nacelles with FAA AD modification installed in 2017. It has been subject to a maintenance storage plan ever since its recent removal from service. "Aventure continues to double down on the success of the cargo market, where the Boeing 757 is key. Over the last few years, we have become one of the world's foremost providers of 757 parts support," said Aventure Vice President, Talha Faruqi. "The 757 has many common parts with the 767, which is an equally popular freighter. Few can match the experience or stock that Aventure has." "We continue to see interesting opportunities to purchase aircraft part-out," Mr. Faruqi added. "This will not be our last for 2020." New Warehouse Space Near Atlanta Airport
To satisfy customer inquiries, Aventure Aviation has acquired an additional inventory of parts for Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer aircraft in recent months. To accommodate, Aventure has leased new warehouse space less than two miles from Atlanta–Hartsfield Jackson Airport, the world's busiest. Having inventory in close proximity to Atlanta–Hartsfield's cargo terminal allows Aventure to ship parts quickly and efficiently, taking advantage of the many domestic and international nonstop flights. The warehouse has eight docks, and provides excellent access for shipping and receiving. In addition to routine part needs, Aventure provides 24/7/365 aircraft on ground service, supporting customers around the world. "By occupying a prime location with huge storage capability, we are able to acquire more aircraft for teardowns, purchase more surplus and excess inventory, or accept new consignment lots on behalf of our clients," said Chris Jackson, Aventure's Quality Control Manager. Aventure Staff Collects Food for Community
Aventure team members donated several boxes of non-perishable foods on November 19, in anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday. "I am so proud of our team. In less than a week, we were able to collect a substantial amount of food for those in need," said Chelsea Sneed, Office Manager. "With nearly 90% of our team working remotely, we were concerned how effective our campaign would be. However, people came every day to safely deliver items in designated areas outside our building." "With so many unemployed this year, it's important to give now more than ever," said Aaron Winfrey, Warehouse Assistant." In our local community, we donated to the Dogwood Church Real Life Center. I encourage everyone to give back this year, as every little bit counts!" Visit the Real Life Center to learn how to help > |
