Aventure Aviation Announces New Leadership Roles

Aventure Aviation President Talha Faruqi and CEO Zaheer Faruqi.

(L–R) Aventure Aviation President Talha Faruqi and CEO Zaheer Faruqi.

Aventure Aviation is pleased to announce the appointment of Zaheer Faruqi as CEO, and Talha Faruqi as president, effective January 1.

Formerly serving as president, Zaheer will oversee the long-term strategy and success of the company in his new role.

"I see my CEO title as a daily reminder that I am responsible for customers, employees, and owners, and will make sure that all stakeholders are served," said Zaheer.

Talha's elevation from vice president to president comes after he successfully chartered the company through the acquisition of several retired Boeing, Embraer, and Bombardier aircraft the past two years.

"I am honored and humbled on my appointment," said Talha. "I will carry forward the legacy, while looking to expand our team, customers and new opportunities."

A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and Embry Riddle University, Talha brings 18 years of experience serving Aventure. He is a member of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading and serves with several different community organizations.

Zaheer has more than 40 years of aerospace industry experience. He co-founded Aventure Aviation in 2001, and has charted the company's growth as president for the last 20 years.

Aventure Celebrates 20th Anniversary Serving the Aviation Industry

20 Years – Aventure Aviation

Aventure Aviation is celebrating its 20th anniversary throughout 2021. The company started on September 1, 2001, just days before the tragic events of 9/11 changed the aviation industry.

Aventure has managed to thrive amid other huge challenges, like the 2008 financial crisis and the current pandemic, by always adapting and focusing on the needs of their customers.

Over the past two decades, Aventure has been led by Zaheer Faruqi as president. Making room for the next generation, 2021 starts off with Zaheer's son, Talha, ascending to the role of president. Zaheer will remain in the newly created position of CEO, where he will focus on Aventure's customers, employees, and owners.

The company will be celebrating their 20-year milestone throughout 2021, leading to a finale in September during the annual Air Carriers Purchasing Conference, held in Aventure's home town of Atlanta.

Contracts in 2020 Lead to Growth of Aventure's Military Division

Aventure Aviation's military division has experienced significant growth as a result of securing a number of contracts last year covering aircraft spare parts and component maintenance, repair, and overhaul support.

These contracts from air forces and maintenance facilities vary in duration and encompass existing and new business from customers in the Far East, Europe, Africa, and South America. This is a culmination of significant effort made by Aventure's military sales team working with their customers to understand their challenges and provide cost-effective solutions.

"Aventure continues to maintain an edge over our competitors by providing tailor-made solutions for our customers," said Ron Taylo, Aventure's operations manager of military sales.

"Besides being well known for C-130 and F-16 aircraft, Aventure also provides parts and repair management services for F-5, F-18, and P-3 aircraft, as well as UH-60 and Bell Helicopters," Ron continued. "We also support trainers and other turbo prop aircraft on a case-by-case basis."
