April 2021 – The Newsletter of Aventure Aviation Aventure Acquires Two Boeing 737NGs Aventure Aviation has acquired two Boeing 737NG airframes, MSN 33783 and MSN 33790, retired after flying with Aeromexico for 16 and 17 years since their delivery. The teardown is currently underway in Marana, Arizona. Parts will be relocated to Aventure's Atlanta warehouse, joining stock from another recently dismantled 737NG, MSN 28497. The two aircraft were placed in storage a few months ago and are in excellent condition. The landing gear was overhauled in 2019 and there is plenty of green time remaining on component parts. "Aventure Aviation continues to offer a unique global aviation investment platform for investors, leasing companies, and owners," said President Talha Faruqi. "We have solutions to deploy capital, provide asset management services, and material consignments." NASBITE Recognizes Aventure Aviation as an Outstanding Exporter Aventure was among 39 North American companies recognized by NASBITE International as an outstanding exporter during the National Small Business Exporter Summit, held virtually March 3. The awards and summit were conceived to share best practices and lessons learned among top small business exporters, trade professionals, and trade assistance providers. "During a time when the export business faced significant pandemic- and geopolitical-related challenges, it has never been more important to spotlight the leading exporters and their innovative approaches to succeeding against these headwinds," said Jackie Rasmussen, CGBP, president of NASBITE International. "These companies grew, opened new markets...providing economic growth when our country greatly needed it." World Trade Day: Aventure to Discuss Turning Challenges into Success Aventure Aviation will speak at the 5th annual World Trade Day conference, taking place virtually on May 4. The event is presented by World Trade Center Atlanta and the international trade division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. This year's Trade Talk, "Positioning for the New Global Economy– Staying Relevant, Connected and Ready," will explore how COVID-19 has transformed international trade and what it will take to grow in a post-pandemic world. Aventure will be featured during a discussion how the company has survived and grown through the extreme challenges of the past year. Atlanta Airshow to Take Place in Aventure's "Backyard" The 2021 Atlanta Air Show will take place May 22–23 at the Atlanta Regional Airport in Peachtree City, Georgia, one mile away from the headquarters of Aventure Aviation. It will be headlined by the U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demo Team, and feature over thirty modern and historic aircraft in various performances and static displays. "The show is a big part of the Peachtree City community. It's a great family event, and many of us are volunteering this year," said Warehouse Assistant Joey Sessoms. "It's wonderful to watch some of the planes we actually work with literally flying above our headquarters." The Atlanta Air Show is implementing a series of safety initiatives across the entire event site to ensure a safe experience for guests and spectators. World Trade Day 2021 Air Carriers Purchasing Conference (ACPC) April is Arab American Heritage Month – Aventure would like to draw attention to Abbas Ibn Firnas, history's first successful aviator. This 9th century Andalusian engineer was also an inventor, astronomer, physician, chemist, musician, and Arabic-language poet. He is considered the first to successfully demonstrate the controlled flight of a human, aided by a glider he built of silk, wood, and feathers. ”The way I see it, you can either work for a living or you can fly airplanes. Me, I'd rather fly.”
