October 2021 – The Newsletter of Aventure Aviation Aventure Acquires Boeing 737NG
Aventure Aviation has acquired a Boeing 737NG airframe, MSN 30459, retired after flying with Copa Airlines since its delivery. The teardown will begin shortly in Roswell, New Mexico. Parts will be relocated to Aventure's Atlanta warehouse, making it the company's fourth 737NG acquired in 2021. The aircraft was in a storage for several months, and remains in excellent condition. It includes a landing gear set last overhauled in 2019, and also a 131-9B APU with less than 30 cycles since a major overhaul by the original manufacturer. "Aventure continues to offer a unique global aviation investment platform for investors, leasing companies, and owners," said President Talha Faruqi. "We have solutions to deploy capital, provide asset management, and material consignments." "Over the last few years, Aventure has established ourselves as one of the world's foremost providers of commercial aircraft parts," said Director of Business Development Ebrahim Zakaria. Aventure is considering the acquisition of several other Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Bombardier aircraft, focusing on end-of-life aircraft for dismantling and conversion. Aventure was a featured speaker at Airline Economics Growth Frontiers, a live and virtual conference held September 19–22 at Central Hall Westminister in London. This included options for those with aircraft parked for an extended period, or returned early from a lease. Also discussed were situations where asset owners should continue paying insurance, parking and maintenance costs, or consider passenger to freighter aircraft conversion. Teardown or writing off aircraft were options presented if the assets lost significant time towards their next major maintenance. With sixteen aircraft purchased during the pandemic, Aventure has helped major leasing firms and owners develop a game plan to give all parties a competitive return on investment.
