MRO Europe is the largest event of its kind on the continent. It's a well-known venue for people to learn, connect, and do business in the commercial aviation aftermarket. The event brings together airlines, maintenance and repair organizations (MROs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), lessors, suppliers, and industry experts to explore and define the aviation maintenance industry. "MRO Europe was a great success for Aventure," said Mike. "It was very well attended." "We had productive meetings, met with new colleagues, and we look forward to helping them with their needs," added Cüneyt. Aventure Exhibits at TCG in Orlando
Aventure exhibited at the C-130 Technical Coordination Group (TCG) World Wide Review on October 24–25 in Orlando, Florida. Held annually, this US Air Force sanctioned event brings together C-130 operators from thirty-eight countries with the ultimate goal of continuing to operate and maintain the Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules aircraft safely and efficiently. The C-130 TCG was formed in 1987 by the US Air Force to provide a more direct line of operational and logistical assistance to foreign military users of the C-130 aircraft. "It's a unique opportunity for everyone to gather in one place," said Ron Taylo, Aventure's operations manager for military sales. "The event provides Aventure with a platform to discuss ways to provide solutions tailored to meet each customer requirement." Fundraisers Attended by Aventure
Aventure attended local fundraisers for the Midwest Food Bank, and The Citizen Foundation, USA, both held October 22. Held at the food bank's facility in Peachtree City, Georgia, their annual Harvest of Blessing Dinner fundraiser helped raised funds for over 140,000 people struggling with hunger. "The event featured live music, a raffle, auction, local cuisine, and inspiring messages of hope for hungry families," said attendee Arron Winfrey, Aventure's junior sales representative. A gala for the Citizens Foundation, held at the Hilton Atlanta, was attended by 350 guests, including Aventure CEO Zaheer Faruqi. The foundation provides education to some of the poorest families in Pakistan by establishing and running schools. Presently over 280,000 deserving students are receiving a quality education, with a graduation rate of 96%. "Our support is a key part of Aventure's core value of giving back to our communities," said office manager Chelsea Griffin. Famed Aviator Remembered During Native American History Month
November is Native American History Month, where we explore the heritage, culture, experience, and contributions of America's Indigenous peoples. Aventure would like to take this opportunity to highlight famed aviator, Wiley Post. Born November 22, 1898, Wiley Hardeman Post was a Native American aviator of Cherokee descent, and the first pilot to fly solo around the world. Accompanied by navigator Harold Gatty, Post made his first around-the-world flight from June 23 to July 1, 1931, in the Lockheed Vega Winnie Mae. Two years later, he achieved his solo record, covering 15,596 miles in just under 7 days and 19 hours. On August 15, 1935, Post and close friend Will Rogers, the American humorist and popular culture icon, were killed when Post's aircraft crashed in Alaska. With the exception of Charles Lindbergh, no American aviator of the time was as celebrated as Post. The combined loss was devastating to the American public, and the nation entered a state of mourning.
