December 2022 – The Newsletter of Aventure Aviation Aventure Hosts Workshop at Aerospace Tech Week Americas Aventure Aviation participated in Aerospace Tech Week Americas, held November 8–9 at the JW Marriott in Aventure's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. This new annual event is organized by the publishers of Aerospace Tech Review and Aviation Maintenance Magazine, and builds on the last 20 years of their evolving and established European event, Aerospace Tech Week Europe. While Aerospace Tech Week Europe offers a larger international audience, Aerospace Tech Week Americas is a more focused for aerospace technology professionals from North, Central, and South America. Aventure CEO Zaheer Faruqi conducted a workshop session, where he offered airlines and maintenance repair organizations solutions for generating income from outdated aircraft part inventories or surplus stock. Aerospace Tech Week has been expanding upon technology sectors since its avionics origins in 2001, the same year Aventure Aviation was founded. World Cup Contest Held by Aventure Aventure Aviation is holding a 2022 World Cup contest where participants can guess the winning teams of the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. Prizes include an iPhone 14, Apple Watch, and AirPods. This is Aventure's fifth such contest since 2006. Arguably the biggest sporting event in the world, The World Cup is an international football competition of the sport's global governing body, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). It takes place in a different country every four years. Hosted in Qatar, the event started November 20 and will end December 18. There are 32 teams competing. "I saw my first World Cup in 1990, and there's no global sporting event like it," said Hamzah Faruqi, Aventure's Director of Sales. "Our grand prize is an iPhone 14. Back in 2006 it was a portable DVD player…very high tech at the time!" Participants must enter by 14:00 GMT on Thursday, December 9 for a chance to guess the semi-finalists and win an Apple Watch. To guess the finalist and runner-up, participants must enter by December 13, 18:00 GMT for chance to win an iPhone 14. More Information | Enter Contest > Aventure Hosts Holiday Luncheon Aventure President Talha Faruqi addresses staff at the holiday luncheon. Aventure held a holiday luncheon for its Atlanta staff on December 1, at the Plated Lounge, in East Point, Georgia. The event let team members and their families enjoy a festive gathering, which included staff who normally work remotely. Aventure's president, Talha Faruqi, thanked everyone for their extraordinary contributions that made 2022 a banner year for the company. He shared details of the company's performance by stating "we exceeded our sales budget goal for 2022, and lived up to our reputation by again reaching new heights." Talha also gave an overview of the coming year, one filled with new challenges and expectations. He highlighted the possibility of opening a third warehouse outside the U.S. state of Georgia, and embarking on building a new state-of-the-art warehouse in Atlanta, bringing all current inventory under one roof by 2025.
