January 2023 – The Newsletter of Aventure Aviation Aventure Receives EXIM Bank Exporter of the Year Award for 2022 Aventure CEO Zaheer Faruqi (R) receives the Exporter of the Year award by EXIM Bank Chair and President Reta Jo Lewis. Aventure Aviation was recognized as an Exporter of the Year at the annual conference of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), held December 13 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC. The Exporter of the Year award recognizes some of the nation's leading exporters, as they help to strengthen the domestic workforce and fortify supply chains. "We are honored by the recognition," said Zaheer Faruqi, Aventure Aviation's CEO and Co-founder. "This is truly a team effort, and we look forward to continued growth and success." The EXIM Annual Conference is EXIM's flagship event for the year. The one-day, in-person and virtual event features high-level dialogue with innovative leaders in business, finance, government, policy, and media. During the conference, Aventure shared valuable insights during the panel session "Expanding Globally: How Small Businesses are Reaching New Markets." Aventure discussed ways EXIM can help small business exporters accelerate growth in international markets, fund overseas expansion, engage in emerging economies, and mitigate risk. Aventure To Offer Parts From Former Air New Zealand Airbus A320 Awaiting teardown: former Air New Zealand A320 in Roswell, New Mexico. Aventure Aviation is managing the teardown and sale of parts for an Airbus A320, MSN 2533, last operated by Air New Zealand as registration ZK-OJM. The 17-year-old aircraft will be dismantled at Ascent Aviation in Roswell, New Mexico. "This A320 marks our first teardown of 2023," said Ebrahim Zakaria, Aventure's Senior Director, Business Development. "We expect a surge of acquisitions to bolster our A320 portfolio as we look to further diversify our product and customer base." "Aventure continues to offer a unique global aviation investment platform for investors, leasing companies, and owners," said Aventure President Talha Faruqi. "With our experience with aircraft teardowns and a significant global customer base, we have solutions to deploy capital, provide asset management services, and material consignments for stakeholders," continued Faruqi. Aventure is in active discussions with owners, financial institutions, lessors, and airlines to find revenue-generating teardown solutions for idle aircraft. Aventure will be available for meetings at the Airline Economics Conference and ISTAT event, taking place January 15–18 in Dublin, Ireland. NACA Food Drive Includes Aventure NACA members prepare donated food items for distribution. Team members from Aventure Aviation's Atlanta headquarters joined the local chapter of the National Association of Chinese-Americans (NACA) for a holiday season food drive. They donated several boxes of non-perishable food items to St. Vincent de Paul Society, in Atlanta, Georgia. "We always try to have a positive impact within our community, especially when people need it most," said Aaron Winfrey, Aventure Aviation junior sales representative. Donated items were collected by NACA at their annual holiday dinner. "It's always great to have dinner with friends, but even better when you can help other families have dinner as well," said Lani Wong, NACA Chair. Since COVID started, NACA has provided over 30,000 meals to the Atlanta Food Bank, $2,500 for children dealing with food insecurity, $2,500 to help families with rent and utilities, and over 20,000 N95 surgical masks for the community. NACA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of cordial relationships between the U.S. and China. Aventure has announced the grand prize winner of it's World Cup contest, Premchand Gopalakrishnan of Gulf Air. He received an iPhone 14, hand-delivered in Manama, Bahrain by Aventure Aviation senior vice president, Amyr Qureshi. Out of hundreds of entries, Premchand was the only one to correctly predict the France vs Argentina final score. Arguably the biggest sporting event in the world, The World Cup football competition takes place in a different country every four years. This was Aventure's fifth World Cup contest since 2006. "The response to our contest was overwhelming," said Qureshi. "We sincerely thank everyone who participated."
