November 2023 – The Newsletter of Aventure Aviation Aventure to Exhibit at Dubai Airshow Aventure will exhibit at stand 1381 inside the USA Partnership Pavilion at the 2023 Dubai Airshow, taking place Nov. 13–17 at Dubai's Al Maktoum Airport in the United Arab Emirates. The Aventure exhibit will pay tribute to Dubai's aviation history. Visitors can have a simulated photo of them piloting a 1930s flying boat, and a chance to win model aircraft, such as a Sikorsky S-42 flying boat, a C-130, or 737 in Aventure livery. The biannual event last took place in 2021, and was one of the first global air shows held following the coronavirus pandemic. The Dubai Airshow trace's its history back to 1986 when it was called Arab Air, a small civilian air show. It has since grown to host over 1400 exhibitors, 180 aircraft, and 120,000 visitors. Aventure Aviation has participated in every Dubai Airshow since 2003, while individual team members have attended since 1989. Meet Aventure at the Dubai Airshow > Military Division Exhibits at TCG Osman Faruqi, Director of military sales, with guests at Aventure's exhibit. Aventure Aviation's military division exhibited at the C-130 Technical Coordination Group (TCG) World Wide Review, held October 23–27 at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida. This annual event unites C-130 Hercules aircraft operators, parts suppliers, and repair shops to discuss new technologies, experiences, and ideas. Over 150 commercial vendors attended, along with representatives from over 30 partner nations. The C-130 is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft designed and built by Lockheed Martin, located a short distance from Aventure's global headquarters. To date, around 2,500 of the aircraft have been delivered to 63 nations. The World Wide Review started in 1987, while Aventure has attended every year since the establishment of its military division in 2010. "The show was very well attended," commented Amyr Qureshi, Aventure's Senior Vice President. "TCG is always a great opportunity to showcase our services and technical support capabilities to many C-130 end-users in one place." ISTAT Members Meet in London Aventure was present at the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Europe, Middle East, and Asia meeting, held October 1–3 at the Hilton London Metropole in London. Mike Kitchener, Aventure's senior director for EMEA attended for the company. Founded in 1983, ISTAT is a global not-for-profit organization dedicated to connecting aviation professionals and providing educational opportunities. With over 5,000 members worldwide, ISTAT includes individuals involved in the commercial aviation industry, such as operations, manufacturing, maintenance, sales, financing, leasing, appraisals, insurance, and more. Social events included a football match at London Stadium, and a "Live Like a Londoner" tour. Education programs included aircraft appraisal fundamentals, steps to becoming an appraiser, and an inside look at the ISTAT Appraisers Program. Aventure Volunteers at Food Bank Staff and friends of Aventure at the Midwest Food Bank in Peachtree City. Employees and friends of Aventure Aviation sorted and boxed over 1,300 food and beverage items at the Midwest Food Bank, in Peachtree City, Georgia, on September 11. Founded in Illinois in 2003, Midwest Food Bank distributes nearly $34 million worth of food to over 2,200 non-profits each month. Active since 2011, the Georgia location currently serves 260 agency partners located in over 56 counties across six states. A faith-based organization, Midwest Food Bank's mission is to alleviate hunger and poverty by gathering and distributing food donations to not-for-profits and disaster sites. Aventure Aviation has contributed to their vital mission since 2017.
