This 737-700 aircraft, MSN 35378, was last operated by China Southern Airlines. "Given the current environment for end-of-life assets, we are excited to continue our steady pipeline of material for our customers around the globe," said Andrew Crombie, director of product line. "Aventure continues to build its unique global aviation investment platform for investors and leasing companies," said Aventure president Talha Faruqi. "With our extensive experience in teardowns, we have solutions to deploy capital, provide asset management services, and material consignments for stakeholders," continued Faruqi. "We continue to see inquiries from investors looking for options in diversifying their portfolios." Aventure will attend the Air Carriers Purchasing Conference (ACPC), on August 24–27 in Dallas, Texas. Representatives will be available to discuss parts supply solutions with airlines, and seek synergies with MRO shops to assist with the significant number of parts Aventure is outsourcing for refurbishment. "ACPC lets us connect with our industry peers, stay informed on the latest trends, and explore beneficial partnerships," said Stefan, "We did a lot of aircraft teardowns this past year. This is a great opportunity to meet with attendees to see how we can work together to manage our large inventory of surplus parts." 7th Annual Aventure Football Pool Aventure's annual Football Pick'em Challenge is back for the seventh time. MBA Students Partner with Aventure to Analyze Southeast Asia Market
Aventure has partnered with Master of Business Administration (MBA) students from Georgia Tech's Scheller College of Business, to analyze expansion opportunities for airplane end-of-life operations in the Southeast Asian market. Established in 1912, The Scheller College of Business is the business school at the Georgia Institute of Technology, a public research university in Atlanta, Georgia. Aventure is working closely with the MBA students to assist their analysis and research on the project. Last year, Aventure partnered with Georgia Tech MBA students to analyze expansion opportunities for US-based distributors of Japanese aviation suppliers and manufacturers. "We are delighted to serve as mentors and share our knowledge of the aviation industry,” said Ron Taylo, manager of military sales. "The team's passion for this project and detailed research was truly impressive." Aeronautics Once An Olympic Event The 2024 Summer Olympics are upon us in Paris, which means millions have traveled to "The City of Light" to watch the games. Most are familiar with popular Olympic sports such as swimming, diving, gymnastics, and basketball. However, few know that there was once an Olympic gold medal awarded for aeronautics. During the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, a gold medal was awarded for the greatest aeronautic achievement in the preceding four years. It went to Switzerland's Hermann Schreiber for his glider flight over the Alps, making him the first person to fly over the Alps in a glider without motorized assistance. Other notable aeronautical feats took place during the Olympics itself. The Hindenburg, a zeppelin and the largest rigid airship ever constructed, hovered over the skies of Berlin painted with the Olympic rings. Additionally, the first public demonstration of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter jet took place. World War II halted plans to expand aeronautics as an Olympic event, and it was officially discontinued in 1946. Though aeronautics as an Olympic event never continued, the spirit of human achievement it represented lives on. Today, aviation plays a crucial role in the Olympics, from transporting athletes and fans, to facilitating global media coverage.
