Aventure Acquires 24th Boeing 737

Aventure's latest Boeing 737NG acquisition, formerly with China Southern Airlines, being prepared for teardown in Coolidge, Arizona.

Aventure Aviation has acquired its twenty-fourth Boeing 737NG airframe, which will be dismantled for parts in Coolidge, Arizona. This 737-700 aircraft, MSN 32934, was last operated by China Southern Airlines. This is the second of two 737NGs operated by China Southern Airlines that Aventure purchased this summer.

"These aircraft give us a substantial amount of new inventory to support Boeing 737NG operators," said Xiaohang (Steven) Qu, Aventure's director of sales for China and Eastern Asia.

"We are proud to support our customers with incoming material even as supply looks more and more uncertain with the current geopolitical and economic climate," added Ebrahim.

Aventure Aviation is in active discussions with owners, financial institutions, lessors, and airlines to find revenue-generating teardown solutions for idle aircraft.

Aventure Attends ACPC in Dallas

Aventure attended the 2024 Air Carriers Purchasing Conference (ACPC), held August 24—27 at the Hilton Anatole, in Dallas, Texas. The event last took place in Dallas in 2002.

Started in 1956 by regional airlines, ACPC steadily grew into a keystone event for the aviation industry, bringing together buyers and sellers of aviation goods and services. Aventure has attended every ACPC since its inception in 2001.

Representing Aventure was business development director Ebrahim Zakaria, and directors of strategic accounts Kevin Lang and Stefan Shemaitis.

They were on hand to discuss parts supply solutions with airlines, and to seek synergies with MRO shops to assist with the large number of parts Aventure is outsourcing for refurbishment. This includes many Boeing 737NGs parts from recent acquisitions.

"My first time attending ACPC on behalf of Aventure was a great experience," said Stefan. "Meeting with vendors and MRO shops in-person is very important for us."

Aventure Aviation will join thousands of people from the Atlanta area by rising early to lace up for Mayor's 5K on the 5th runway.

Held October 5, the charity race brings runners to the fifth runway of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world's busiest with over 104 million annual passengers.

Hosted by Atlanta's Mayor Andre Dickens, proceeds will benefit the Mayor's Youth Scholarship Program and the United Way of Greater Atlanta.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of this iconic race, which welcomes participants of all abilities, ages ten and older. It provides a unique opportunity to race on the runway of a major international airport.

"Our team is called the Spirit of Aventure, a name first used almost 20 years ago when we competed in the 2005 edition of Redbull Flugtag in Dubai," said director of sales Hamzah Faruqi.

Aventure was a sponsor and participant of the 2024 Alaska Airlines Employee Assistance Fund (EAF) Auction & Golf Tournament, which took place July 19 at The Golf Club at Newcastle, in Newcastle, Washington state.

Attending on behalf of Aventure was vice president of sales Ebrahim Zakaria and sales director Andrew Crombie.

The EAF is a non-profit organization made up of employee volunteers who represent all divisions of Alaska Airlines.

The assistance fund was created in 1992 by Alaska Airlines Captain Al Brunelle. His goal was to aid co-workers facing financial difficulties from medical emergencies or catastrophic events. This year's event raised over a half million dollars, and had over 500 participants.

"We are honored to sponsor this event for the second year. It was truly heart-warming to hear from the individuals who rely on the funds," said Ebrahim. "The tournament continues to be a great opportunity to deepen our relationship with Alaska Airlines, and others across the industry."
