July 2025 – The Newsletter of Aventure Aviation 12 Boeing 737NGs Secured in Largest Aircraft Deal for Aventure A group of Aventure's newly acquired Boeing 737NGs, formerly with Alaska Airlines, awaiting teardown in Arizona. Aventure Aviation has acquired twelve Boeing 737NGs formerly operated by Alaska Airlines. The aircraft, MSNs 30013, 30014, 30015, 30016, 30017, 30018, 30019, 30021, 30856, 30857, 33679, and 33680, will undergo teardown in phases in Arizona. "This is a major milestone for Aventure...our largest aircraft purchase to date," said Talha Faruqi, President of Aventure. "Each was owned and operated solely by Alaska Airlines for its entire life cycle. This provides a well-documented service record from one of the world's leading airlines, enhancing both traceability and component reliability," Talha added. Alaska Airlines, named Air Transport World's Airline of the Year for 2022, has experienced significant growth in recent years, including its acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines last September. "These twelve 737s come at a pivotal moment, as we are set to complete the construction of our new facility in Peachtree City,” said Andrew Crombie, director of asset management. "This will provide us with five times our current warehouse space, and further enhance our ability to manage and support this significant expansion to our 737NG inventory," he added. "Our hometown of Atlanta will host ACPC (Air Carriers Purchasing Conference) on August 16–19. We will be available to discuss parts supply solutions with airlines, and seek synergies with MRO shops to assist with the significant number of parts we are outsourcing for refurbishment," said Ebrahim Zakaria, vice president of sales. Aventure Supports Aviation Campers ASPIRE students inspect an Aventure Boeing 737 throttle quadrant. Aventure is supporting the ASPIRE Aviation Summer Camp, where middle and high school students spent a week immersed in hands-on learning at Georgia's DeKalb Peachtree Airport. The camp is a program of ASPIRE Aerospace Education, a Georgia nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students explore the world of aviation beyond piloting. Their mission is to broaden perspectives and inspire future aviation careers. Aventure donated a Boeing 737 throttle quadrant to help bring technical concepts to life. It provided students the chance to operate authentic flight controls and explore how engine power, flaps, and trim interact in commercial aircraft. "We are committed to help inspire the next generation of aviation professionals," said marketing associate Michael Griffiths Jr. Throughout the week, campers engaged with real-world aerospace topics, from turbine engines and weather systems to flight planning and aircraft maintenance. "The opportunity for students to work directly with real aircraft components adds a valuable hands-on element to their learning," said Latessa Meader, president of ASPIRE Aerospace Education. "Industry partnerships like these help connect classroom lessons with the practical skills needed in aviation careers," she added. The second session of ASPIRE Aviation Camp will take place July 14–18. For more information, visit aspireaeroed.org. Aircraft Spotlight: Northrop B-2 Spirit The B-2 Spirit is one of the most iconic aircraft ever built. Used only by the U.S. Air Force, the strategic bomber is known for its stealth technology and flying wing design. Designed by Northrop Grumman, it first flew in 1989 and entered service in 1997. The flying wing helps reduce drag and avoid radar detection. It's built from advanced composite materials and coated with radar-absorbing paint. Only 21 B-2s were produced, making it one of the rarest military aircraft still in operation. Adjusted for inflation, the total project cost was estimated to be around $93 billion USD. While the B-2 is utilized exclusively by the U.S. Air Force, its complex design reflects the kind of engineering found across modern military platforms worldwide. Aventure's military division supports advanced aircraft programs used globally, including long-serving platforms like the F-16 and C-130, where dependable parts and long-term sustainment are essential.
