Aventure Celebrates 25 Years in 2026

Aventure Aviation is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026, marking a quarter century of growth, resilience, and evolution within the global aviation industry. Founded September 1, 2001, Aventure has since navigated decades of change by remaining adaptable and focused on customer needs.

Established by Zaheer Faruqi and Amyr Qureshi, Aventure started operating out of Zaheer's garage in Peachtree City, near Atlanta. In its early years the company navigated the aftermath of 9/11, and relocated in 2003 to a small warehouse just a few miles from its current headquarters.

Offering various products and services for commercial aviation, Aventure would start to place more emphasis on aircraft parts. During this formative period, Zaheer's three sons, Talha, Osman, and Hamzah, began working in the warehouse and would soon gain experience across nearly every facet of the business.

In 2008, Aventure moved into its first purpose-built office and warehouse. In 2010, a military division was established to focus on supplying parts for the Lockheed C-130 Hercules.

In 2014, the company acquired its first aircraft for parts harvesting. Aventure has since acquired over 45 commercial aircraft, and last year secured twelve former Alaska Airlines Boeing 737NGs, its largest aircraft purchase to date.

With a decade of steady growth, Aventure achieved its strongest financial performance in 2025, and completed the first phase of a new state-of-the-art 70,000 square foot headquarters adjacent to the original building.

As a family-run business led by CEO Zaheer Faruqi and President Talha Faruqi, Aventure enters its 25th year positioned for continued growth. Guided by the same principles the company was founded on, Aventure remains focused on building long-term relationships, adapting to an evolving industry, and helping its customers reach new heights.

Aventure has announced the winners of the 8th Annual Football Pick 'Em Challenge. In first place is Brad McMullen of NFF Aviation, who had picked 66% games correctly. Duncan Midkiff of ODS Security came in second place, while Jessika Lebron of AllClear Aerospace & Defense came in third.

Participants competed weekly to predict the outcome of each U.S. National Football League game throughout the season. The top three winners received gift cards of $250, $150, and $75, while weekly winners each won $25. In total, nearly $1,000 in prizes were given out.

This season's competition came down to the wire, with Brad winning by one correct pick, and Jessika winning by tiebreaker.

"The pool brings the aviation community together in a fun, competitive way," said Jessika. "I look forward to this contest every year!," exclaimed Duncan.

The championship game, Super Bowl LX, will take place February 8 in Santa Clara, California. Aventure's 9th annual Football Pick 'Em Challenge will commence in July for the 2026 season.

Holiday Food Drive Concludes

Staff at Aventure's Atlanta headquarters concluded a holiday food drive, which was held in November and December to benefit the Real Life Center, located in neighboring Tyrone, Georgia. The team donated hundreds of items for families in need.

Since 1998, The Real Life Center has been helping those in need in Georgia's Fayette and Coweta Counties. Aventure has been donating to the center since 2015.

"We simply could not do this without the generosity of organizations in our community," said Dixie King, marketing and orchard manager of the Real Life Center. "Every donation, including Aventure's 373 pounds, helps families facing financial hardship experience stability and hope during this season."

Remembering 'Miracle on the Hudson'

January 15th marks 17 years since the "Miracle on the Hudson" water landing of US Airways Flight 1549 by Captain C.B. 'Sully' Sullenberger, saving the lives of 155 souls on board.

The Airbus A320 was scheduled to fly from New York City's LaGuardia Airport to Seattle—Tacoma International Airport. The plane hit a flock of geese almost three minutes after take off.

Realizing both engines shut down, Sully took control of the aircraft while First Officer Jeffrey Skiles worked to restart the engines. After realizing he would not be able to land at LaGuardia or a surrounding airport, Sully prepared to make a controlled emergency landing on the Hudson River. The "ditching" was successful with no fatalities.

The pilots and cabin crew received widespread recognition. While often described as a miracle, Sullenberger emphasized that the outcome was driven by training, experience, and teamwork.

Flight 1549 serves as a reminder of the critical role reliable aircraft parts play in aviation safety. Alongside pilot training and crew coordination, properly maintained and certified components are essential to ensuring aircraft perform as designed in both routine operations and emergencies.

The industry's commitment to quality parts, rigorous maintenance standards, and supply chain integrity is a foundation of keeping aircraft safe and passengers protected.
