Aventure Aviation attended the 30th anniversary of MRO Americas, which was held April 21–23 in Orlando, Florida. The event brought together thousands of professionals from across the global supply chain, including representatives from airlines, original equipment manufacturers, MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) providers, and parts distributors. Known for its scale and impact, MRO Americas offers a unique platform to connect with decision-makers, explore new technologies, and gain insight into the latest trends. With more than 17,000 attendees and over 1,000 solution providers, the event is a central hub for networking and collaboration across the aviation aftermarket. "Aventure values opportunities like MRO Americas because it brings the entire aviation aftermarket ecosystem together in one place," said Aventure director of strategic accounts Kevin Lang. Aventure Attends CAMMF in China
Aventure attended the 11th annual Civil Aircraft Materials Support & Maintenance Management Forum (CAMMF), held April 9–10 Chengdu, China. With approximately 450 attendees, the event included representatives from airlines, maintenance repair organizations, aviation material distributors, original equipment manufacturers, and logistics providers. More than 50 aviation material suppliers participated, including both domestic and international companies. "The forum provided an excellent opportunity to connect with key partners, exchange ideas, and stay informed on the latest trends," said Jason Liu, Aventure's customer service manager. Army Aviation Summit in Nashville
The Army Aviation Association of America hosted its 2026 Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit on April 15–17 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Aventure attended the annual event, which brings together the global Army aviation community and serves as a central forum for military leaders, government representatives, and industry partners to collaborate on the future of Army aviation. With thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors, the summit highlighted emerging technologies, operational challenges, and evolving priorities across areas such as maintenance, logistics, and mission readiness. "It underscored the importance of collaboration in supporting modern aviation operations and advancing the future of the sector," said Aventure manager of military sales Ron Taylo. Artemis II Revives Lunar Exploration
Last month NASA's Artemis II mission marked a major milestone in human space exploration, sending astronauts on the first crewed lunar mission in over 50 years. The four-person crew—Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen—travelled aboard the Orion spacecraft, testing systems for future deep-space missions. This mission is a key step toward establishing a sustained human presence on the Moon and eventually reaching Mars. "There is nothing normal about this. Sending four humans 250,000 miles away is a Herculean effort, and we are now just realizing the gravity of that," said Commander Reid Wiseman. The Logistics of Mother's Day
Every May, millions of flowers make their way to moms across the United States for Mother's Day—and most of them originate from one key region. So where do these flowers come from? The answer, largely, is Colombia. The country dominates the global flower export market, shipping more than $2 billion worth of cut flowers annually and second only to the Netherlands in overall production. Approximately 75% of Colombia's flower exports—valued at well over $1.6 billion—are destined for the U.S., making it the primary source behind many of the Mother's Day bouquets. The scale of this seasonal operation is remarkable. In the weeks leading up to the holiday, airlines ramp up cargo capacity to meet demand. LATAM Airlines alone operates hundreds of dedicated cargo flights from Colombia and neighboring Ecuador, transporting tens of thousands of tons of fresh flowers. This coordinated logistics effort ensures that fresh blooms arrive on time, highlighting the critical role of global air cargo in connecting growers with consumers worldwide. Jonny Kim Recognized for AAPI
For Asian and Pacitic Islander Heritage Month, Aventure would like to highlight Jonny Kim, a NASA astronaut, former Navy SEAL, and U.S. naval aviator and flight surgeon. He made history last year as the first Korean-American to complete a mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Kim was born on February 5, 1984 in Los Angeles to South Korean immigrants. He decided to become a Navy SEAL at age 16, and enlisted after high school. He deployed twice to the Middle East and participated in over 100 combat missions. While in the Navy, Kim received a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School. Kim completed his first solo flight in a Beechcraft T-6 Texan II on June 6, 2022, and formally completed his flight training in March 2023. Kim joined 17 other astronauts to train for early Moon landing missions of the Artemis program. In August 2024, NASA announced he would be a member of the Expedition 72/73 crew. The crew launched April 8, 2025, and docked with the International Space Station. Kim conducted scientific research before returning to Earth on December 9, 2025.
